      I currently work in the travel industry for America's number one inbound tour operator. My position in this company is to also deal with customer complaints. As I deal with complaint letters from our clients all day long, I thought I would take the tims to write you that I had the most pleasant experience staying at one of your properties in Turkey.
      From September 7,2001 until September 11, 2001, my friend and I stayed at the Best Western Otel Obelisk-Sumengen in Istanbul, Turkey (address: Mirmar Mehmetaga Cad. Admiral Tafdil Sok. No. 17/19,34400 Sultanahmet, Istanbul, Turkey, phone: +90 (212) 517-7173. We had booked our vacation as a package through a tour operator (TurkTur) in Berlin, Germany.
      We arrive quite late in the early morning hours on September 8. Upon our arrival, the front desk kindly checked us in and the bellhop assisted with our bags, without any request from us. This truly shows the service offered at this hotel.
      Throughout our stay at the hotel, we constantly went to the front desk for information and assistance as this was our first time in Istanbul. The front desk receptionist was most helpful and friendly.
      It is to my knowledge that the Best Western chain has recently implemented a new standard of all hotels to require continental breakfast. To my surprise, the breakfast offered at this hotel was more than the usual doughnuts or croissants with orange juice. A wide selection of a typical Turkish breakfast was offered. To top it all off, the breakfast area was located on the roof of the hotel which had a magnificent view of the Marmara Sea. I would like to also add that the service offered during breakfast was superb.
      The room that we were allocated was appointed in a typical Turkish Ottoman style decor. The room, including the bathroom, was clean and well-kept. The hotel offered free Internet access, which was extremely convenient to us.
      My vacation in Istanbul was memorable and once in a life-time. Everything went smoothly with our reservation and the standard of the hotel was excellent. I would like to thank you for making my vacation in Turkey wonderful.
      I would appreciate if you can forward a copy of this letter to the General Manager of the hotel to let him/her know to "keep up the good work." This hotel has exceeded our expectations.
